Manzo Freeman Development Project

Project Overview

At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, the Manzo Freeman Development team wanted to use health to differentiate their buildings and instill confidence in workplace safety in their communities. Looking at their two main properties in Hudson, MA and Nashua, NH, we prepared a comparative review of LEED, WELL, and FitWel programs against proposed workplace safety measures. Based on tenant makeup and geographics, we proposed integrated designs and systems. These recommendations ranged from building ventilation systems and outdoor amenities to touchless features and signage. Additionally, doing a cost-benefit analysis of these proposed systems allowed the team to decide where best to focus their efforts. This review ensured activities that MFD engaged in were consistent with industry-standard, best practices, and rooted in readily available scientific data.
